Getting here

There are a range of ways to get to the Christchurch Gondola:

• By car or rideshare: a 15-minute drive from central Christchurch, there is plenty of free parking in the large base station carpark.
• By direct Gondola Shuttle: our shuttle will be operating between central Christchurch and the Christchurch Gondola daily from 28 September. The shuttle departs from Cathedral Square (Tram Stop 2) on the half hour from 9:30am – 3:30pm, and from the Christchurch Gondola on the hour from 10am – 4pm. Return and one-way tickets can be purchased from our Tram Host at Tram Stop 2 or from the driver (card payments only).
• By public bus: bus number 8 operates year-round from the Christchurch Bus Interchange and stops directly outside the Christchurch Gondola base station.
• By bike: a bike rack is available to the left of our base station entrance.
